Lottery Terms and Definitions
The lottery is full of complicated terms that may make playing harder than it should be. Here is a list of lottery terms with easy definitions to make lottery playing fun for you no matter which game you choose to play!
Annuity - An annuity payment is an option in some lotteries with large jackpots that pays the jackpot winners over the course of twenty or so years. This type of payout is called an annuity payout as opposed to one lump sum payment.
Bet - A bet is the transaction that takes place when a lottery player chooses numbers, whether personally or by using a Quick Pick, in exchange for the chance to win the lottery.
Bonus Ball (Bonus Number) - A bonus ball or bonus number is simply an additional number. This additional ball is drawn so that additional prizes can be won. If your bonus number is drawn, you win an even bigger prize!
